#53 - Oak Leaf Fairy - $65.00 - Available as of 6/09/08

A charming little fairy, comes sitting on her 100% silk, hand-dyed Black Oak leaf.  I designed the leaf from a real Black Oak leaf from our property.  The leaf measures 7" long from the tip to the base, and the stem extends about another 3.75".  The leaf is lightly stuffed with fiberfill top-stitched into a design, and has an inner wire armature.

The fairy is the tinest of my sitting style fairies.  She was 6.5' long before sculpting into her current, permanent position (fairy is also permanently attached to her leaf), and sitting she measures just about 3.5" tall from her "seat" to the tip of her burr oak acorn cap.  Her face has been hand-dyed a light brown shade.  Her body/wing fabric is a pattern of fall leaves and colors.  Her hairdo was designed from a soft wispy yarn, also in fall shades of golds/browns and green.  Her accents are: a necklace designed from Swarovski crystals, tiny glass seed beads, and has a metal, fall colored leaf charm in the center.  There are Swarovski crystal accents in her hair, at her waist, and she is also wearing a tiny ankle bracelet of crystals and seed beads.
