One-of-a-kind treasures!

Welcome to my designs of "FAIRY SCENES". These creations will be of fairies in various "scenes", and can depict a hobby, interest or any particular setting. Each creation will come on a hand-stained wooden base with accessories and embellishments. If you are interested in having a "special" creation designed, please contact me for pricing and ideas. If you are interested in ordering a "special" Reading Fairy, I'd be happy to label the books with titles of your choosing. I hand-paint each tiny wooden book and label them with a fine artist pen.

"STORY TIME"

This delightful "fairy scene" is so charming. The mother fairy is reading to her little fairy daughter. The entire scene is permanently cemented to the round wooden base. The base is 6" round. The mother fairy was 10" tall before sculpting into her current sitting position. Measuring from her "seat" to the top of her head, she is about 5" tall. Her wings extend outward 3". Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful batik fabric with gold stars in the pattern. The colors are shades of mauve and dark lavender. I designed her hairdo out of two different Italian yarns. One yarn has a braided effect, and the other is a sparkly yarn with wisps and ribbon textures. She is wearing a crown of antique colored gold stars, combined with 4mm Swarvoski crystals. Her necklace and waist accents are also stars and crystals. She is reading to her tiny fairy daughter from a hand-painted wooden book, entitle "STAR FAIRIES". She is sitting (permanently attached) on a hand-painted wooden stool. The height of the entire scene is approximately 7" tall, measuring from bottom of base to tip of the larger fairy's wings.

Her little daughter is 6.5" tall before sculpting into her permanent sitting position. Sitting she measures 3.5" tall from her "seat" to the top of her head. Her body/wing fabric is another batik fabric, which are in the same shades as the mother's. She has fluffy little pigtails designed from another Italian yarn, and is wearing antique gold metal stars in them along with Swarovski crystals. She also has a crystal/star necklace, and a tiny crystal ankle bracelet. as her accents. The center back of her wings are also adored with Swarovski crystals. She is sitting on a tiny braided yarn rug. There are 3 other hand-painted wooden books in the scene. Their titles are: "WISH UPON A STAR", "MAGICAL STARS", and "FAIRIE SONGS'

A TRULY ENCHANTING FANTASY KEEPSAKE!

#70 - PETAL - The Reading Fairy - $65.00

This little fairy's name is PETAL, and she is busily reading a book about a little fairy with the same name. It is Petal's job to learn all about the magic of flowers. Petal is 9" long before sculpting into her permanent laying position. She measures about 3.5" from her elbow to the top of her fluffy hairdo, and is about 5" long from her hand to where her knees bend. Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful batik fabric with a pattern of golden starburst in it. Her accents are Swarovski crystals in a necklace ankle bracelet and in her flower hair accent, as well as in the center back of her wings. The fairy, her books, and handmade little rug are all permanently cemented to the hand stained wooden base. Base is approx. 6.25" in circumference.

KNITTING FAIRY

This charming fairy is busily knitting a sparkly black scarf for a fairy friend. The fairy, herself, was 9" tall before sculpting into her current sitting position. Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful, plush flannel in shades of deep mauves and blacks. Her hairdo is a combination of 2 yarns, one is a sparkly Italian yarn called AURA, and the other is a fun textured, sparkly Italian yarn called DAZZLE. Her accents are Swarovski crystals sewn on the flower on her chest, a crystal belly button, crystals at her waist, a crystal ankle bracelet and she is wearing a mauve colored silk flower in her hair, as well in the center back of her wings. She is sitting (permanently attached) to a hand-painted wooden stool (permanently attached to base. The wooden base measures 4" in circumference, and is hand-stained.

Ethnic Reading Fairy - $85.00

This delightful fairy comes perched on her hand-painted, wooden stool. She is reading a book of "Fairy Tales". The fairy's body/wing fabric is 100% silk which I hand-dyed to various shades of brown, olive green and a bit of rusts. Her long, flowing hairdo is a multi-colored yarn in shades of rust, olive green, hints of navy blue and has a metallic thread running through it. It is very soft and wispy. Her accents are a "hair piece" designed from Swarovski crystals tiny glass seed beads, and a green stone leaf bead. She is also wearing a necklace which I designed from Swarovski crystals, seed beads and another green stone leaf bead. On each of her ankles she is also wearing a crystal and seed beads. The center back of her wings has 2 - 4mm Swarovski crystals encircled with tiny seed beads. Her books are all wooden, which I individually hand-painted. The titles of the books in her hand-painted wicker basket are: "Plants & Flowers", "Fairy Magic", and "Magical Gems". The two books laying on the wooden base are: "Dreams" and the top book is "Book of Wishes". There is a magical wand on top, with which to great the wishes. The top of the wand is a Swarovski crystal butterfly bead.

The fairy was 9" long before sculpting into her permanent position. The entire sculpture measuring from the bottom of the base to the top of the fairy's wing is 8.25" tall. All items are permanently cemented to the hand-stained wooden base. The base is approx. 6.5" long by 4.25" wide. The base has a coat of varnish and felt circles on the bottom, so as not to scratch the furniture.

This delightful fairy measures approx. 9" tall before being sculpted into her sitting position. Her body/wings are 100% silk which I hand-dyed. Her face is also 100% silk, lightly needle sculpted, and hand-painted. Wooden base is approx. 11" X 9". Her hand-painted wooden treasure chest is filled with Italian yarns, and hand-made knitting needles. She is busily knitting with her golden, magical needles. All accessories are permanently cemented to the base and/or tables etc. including the fairy herself.

This colorful reading fairy is so fun with all her bright colors!! She is sitting on a handmade braided rug reading her book of FAIRY TALES. Her other colorful hand painted wooden books are titled: CRYSTALS (with real Swarovski crystals on the top), POEMS, FLOWERS AND HERBS. Her hand stained wooden base measures 6.5". Her hairdo was designed from a brightly colored yarn with "wisps and nubs" of color in it. Her accents are Swarovski crystals and tiny colorful glass seed beads. The fairy, before being sculpted into her sitting position, measured approx. 6.5" long....sitting she is approx. 3.5" tall from her "seat" to the top of her head. SHE WOULD ADD A BIT OF FUN AND COLOR TO ANY ROOM IN THE HOUSE OR OFFICE.

This fairy scene has a fairy laying down on her soft yarn carpet reading her book of HERBS. The fairy is approx. 9" long and is permanently attached to her carpet and the oval wooden base. Her body/wing fabric is a beautiful batik fabric in shades of yellow, plum and deeper yellow/gold. Her accents are a Swarovski necklace, hair accent, and ankle bracelet. The scene base is an oval hand stained wooden base (approx. 9" long X 7" wide), and includes 5 tiny hand painted wooden books, labeled Flowers, Birds, Fairy Magic and Dreams. All items are permanently cemented to base.
